At UEA, our cutting-edge BSc Microbiology with a Year Abroad degree equips you with the knowledge and practical experience needed to address these pressing global issues and shape the future of science. You’ll study the full spectrum of microbiology and its underlying concepts, alongside key related subjects such as biochemistry, genetics, and molecular biology. As you progress through your degree, you’ll also have the flexibility to tailor your studies to specialise in particular areas of microbiology that capture your interest. In year three, you’ll study abroad at one of our exciting partner institutions across the globe, gaining invaluable international experience. In your final year, you’ll have the opportunity to design and undertake an extended research project, giving you hands-on experience in scientific investigation.
