Entry requirements
This course is suitable for registered nurses working in primary and community care settings who would like to advance their knowledge and skills in clinical assessment. This module would be a pertinent as a preparatory module for those considering applying to the MSc/PgDip Public Health and Specialist Community Nursing Programme (Community Nursing in Health and Social Care, District Nursing) This course runs in the autumn and summer each year. Sep: 24th September 2026 Oct: 8th and 15th October 2026 Nov: 12th and 26th November 2026 Exams: 8 th and 9 th December 2026 Term 3: May: 5th and 19th May 2027 June: 9th, 23rd, and 30th June 2027 July: 1 st July 2027 Exams: 6 th and 7 th July 2027 The module will support you to effectively assess children, young people, and adults with undiagnosed presentations, distinguish normal from abnormal findings and formulate differential diagnoses in order to manage, treat and/or refer patients.
