Overview
This Postgraduate Certificate equips nurses with the specialist knowledge and practical capability required to deliver safe, person-centred care across gastrointestinal, respiratory and urological endoscopy. It explores the full patient journey, including assessment, preparation, monitoring, risk management, decontamination, communication and recovery, alongside an understanding of relevant physiology and pathophysiology. Students develop confidence in both technical and non-technical skills, including effective teamwork, patient counselling, and managing complications or emergencies. It is ideal for nurses working in endoscopy services who want to advance clinical competence, leadership and the ability to support high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
