Foundation Preparation course

Essential learning for aspiring artists and designers Develop your creative skills and build a strong portfolio. On this three-day Foundation Preparation course, you will be introduced to the approach to creative practice on Foundation at Kingston School of Art (KSA). A series of hands-on practical workshops, led by experienced tutors, will develop your skills in drawing, visual research, idea generation, thinking through making and collective discussion. Working through a range of conceptual, research and material focus activities you will learn how to articulate your ideas, document and present them. By the end of the course, you will have created an exciting body of work that can be used in a portfolio. Whilst on the course you’ll gain first-hand experience of the Foundation ethos and approach. This course is perfect for students preparing for Art and Design Foundation courses, looking to broaden their creative horizons.
