PGCE in Secondary Education (English) with recommendation for QTS

Applicants need to have an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in the intend field to teach – must contain at least 50% subject content. Normally this should be a 2.2 classification or above in preparation for Masters level professional study. A Masters or Doctorate in the field is acceptable if applicants do not hold a 2:2 undergraduate degree. A-level or equivalent in an English subject: English Literature, English Language or Creative Writing. English and Maths Grade 4 (C) or above, or equivalent at GCSE level. Applicants would normally be expected to meet the GCSE requirements at the point of application.
