Overview
The PGCE Secondary Education in History qualifies you to teach history at secondary level in any state-maintained school in England. This one-year course combines theoretical learning with supervised teaching experience, including placements in diverse educational settings. On graduation, you’ll be awarded Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), and you’ll already have valuable first-hand teaching experience, as well as a wide network of professional contacts who can help you find the right career opportunities.
