Overview

This short course will provide students with a knowledge of the Social Model of Health, as a driver for change in health and social care including the introduction of community-based services such as Social Prescribing. Students will learn about community-based solutions for health and wellbeing and the reduction of health inequalities. Students will learn how to evaluate health services, and will develop skills in low-intensity interventions, including Brief Motivational Interviewing.
