Each year, Avon and Somerset Police will be offering four bursaries to support new applicants onto the Social Science Foundation Year. The bursaries are available to those who are from the global majority and who intend to progress onto the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship or the Professional Policing Degree. This is a match funded bursary between Avon and Somerset Police and the UWE Bristol School of Social Sciences. It is intended to provide applicants from the global majority the opportunity to gain a Level 3 qualification to meet entry criteria for the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship or the Professional Policing Degree. It is worth £5760 to the successful applicant and is to be used for course fees.
