Canterbury Christ Church University is an esteemed institute located in Canterbury, Kent, England, UK. Founded in 1962 by the Church of England, it has been serving teaching of the sublime standard for more than 62 years. In 2005, it gained its university status and formed its current name. It is a member of the Cathedrals Group and MillionPlus.

CCCU offers over 290 undergraduate courses, 98 postgraduate courses, and numerous attractive scholarships for its international students. It is the largest educational institute in the southeast of England. The university is among the top universities, and Ofsted ranked it ‘outstanding’ for teacher training.

It is an extensive, diverse community with more than 18,000 students from more than 100 countries and more than 2,700 international students. CCCU has been ranked first in the UK for graduate employment. It is among the exalted Gold Tier universities. Its main campus lies in the beautiful city of Canterbury. History

History can be traced back to 1962, when the Church of England formed the Canterbury Christ Church College (CCCC). In 1976, the institute launched its first non-teaching degree, a BA in Religious Studies.

In 1995, the institution was granted the authority by the Privy Council to provide its own degrees for taught courses, and the institute’s name was changed to Canterbury Christ Church University College. In 2005, the college was granted its university status and became Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU).
