History

The college was created as a pathway option for international students who wish to join NTU.

NTIC aims to assist international students with their academic skills and English language proficiency and help them to build confidence and cultural understanding.

Thus, the students will be able to transition more easily into the NTU environment. The college has a number of pathways to enable students to prepare for their preferred study direction at NTU.

There are pathways in a number of subject areas including, for example, Art and Design, Business, Engineering and so on.

NTIC was established in 2005 as a collaborative partnership model between Kaplan International Pathways and Nottingham Trent University.

It was through the recognition that there was an increasing number of international students wanting to study at NTU, as well as a desire for NTU to have specialised pathway programmes based directly on the City's Campus.

Since it was established, NTIC has been essential in preparing thousands of international students for successful progression into a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at NTU.
