Eligibility

Other eligibility requirements The means-tested ceiling for the General Bursary for a household is £27,500. You can apply for the General Bursary as part of your application to study. The maximum bursary awarded is 40% for CertHE or BA students, and 20% for GradDip students. We encourage you to also apply to other sources of funding (see Fees & FAQ for some ideas on this). As part of the bursary application process you will need to provide verifiable details of your household income. Certificate of Higher Education A bursary of up to 40% will be considered for applicants who: can give compelling evidence to show significant disadvantage that is in support of their application, and can demonstrate the source of funding for the balance of the course fees, and/or can demonstrate a source of matched funding NB: This award will be for one year only. We will accept applications for each year of study but an award in subsequent years of study should not be assumed. Students in their second year can apply for bursaries online. ​BA (Hons) We are currently not able to grant bursaries that automatically extend to the full six years of the BA programme. However, we will accept applications for one year at a time of up to 40% and which fulfil the same criteria as the CertHE detailed above. Students in their second years can apply for bursaries online. Graduate Diploma A bursary of up to 20% per annum will be considered for any applicant, and all the guidelines above apply. Please note that we will only accept applications for one year at a time. Students in their second years can apply for bursaries online.

All applications are considered if they meet the bursary criteria. Submitted applications are considered at the end of April, June and July. The bursary pot is limited, so we recommend you apply early as bursaries are awarded on a first come, first served basis.

Other eligibility requirements Principal’s Bursary Fund was set up to help men and women with a recent history of offending and/or addiction, and whose theological studies with WTC are a part of their recovery and positive life choices. You can apply for this bursary if you are entering at Level 4 (Certificate). You can apply for up to the full cost of your programme fees minus 10%, which we ask all beneficiaries to be responsible for paying or raising themselves. ​Certificate of Higher Education A bursary for the full cost of your fees minus 10% will be considered but is not guaranteed. You may be awarded a proportion of your fees. We only award a bursary one year at a time, but we will help you to apply for this bursary in subsequent years.
