Overview
The module content is built around the generic capabilities of advanced practice these being clinical, research leadership and management, and education. Furthermore, students will consider the core advanced practice mental health domains these being – a person centred therapeutic alliance, assessment and investigations, formulation, collaborative planning, intervention, and evaluation. You will study key mental health conditions whether in isolation or alongside physical health problems, assessment, co-ordinated care planning, person centred therapeutic interventions/ alliances and contribute to the professional development of new knowledge and research. You will develop your knowledge of mental health conditions, mental health non-emergency and emergency assessment, care approaches, legislation, and international, national, and local policies. On successful completion of study, we will issue the following award: Individual Modules Advanced Mental Health Practice
Entry requirements
Students will need to be at least two years professionally qualified and working/training at advanced practice level.
