How we work

MIE Connect helps students apply to universities, mostly in the UK. This page sets out how we are paid, who advises you, how our students do, and what to do if something goes wrong.

Who pays us

Universities pay us, not students. You pay us nothing for our advice or your applications. A university that accepts you may pay us a commission when you enrol.

We also advise on universities we have no agreement with, and the shortlist we make for you never counts commission. If you came to us through one of our recruitment partners, we pay them a share of our commission; you pay them nothing.

We have no university agreements yet.

How our students do

UK Visas and Immigration expects each university to keep visa refusals under 5% and to enrol at least 95% of the students it sponsors (its Basic Compliance Assessment, from 1 June 2026). We hold our own students to the same standard. Over the last 12 months:

Fewer than 5 of our students had a visa decision in the last 12 months, too few for a fair rate. We will show the figures here once there are enough.

How we behave, and complaints

We follow the National Code of Ethical Practice for UK Education Agents. Making a complaint is free and never affects the help we give you.

Email info@mieconnect.com with "Complaint" in the subject, or tell your counsellor. We acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and send a full reply within 20 working days. Read our complaints procedure.
