Overview
This Postgraduate Certificate supports nurses to develop the confidence, competence and capacity to engage with research as part of their professional career pathway. It provides a clear grounding in qualitative and quantitative research methods, evidence-based practice, critical appraisal and implementation science, enabling students to understand how evidence is generated, interpreted and translated into practice. The programme equips nurses and midwives with the skills to evaluate services, contribute to improvement initiatives and support research activity within clinical environments. It is open to all registrants and is particularly valuable for those involved in research delivery, audit, quality improvement or who wish to develop a research focused career in healthcare.
