Our Medieval History course is personal, global, and built around helping you gain the skills and experience to shape your future career. Winchester’s BA Medieval History is your chance to explore the past in ways that will shape the rest of your life. You’ll learn from passionate medievalists who are experts in their fields, actively engaged in research and publication, and committed to supporting your growth. You'll study in small, supportive groups where lecturers know your name and bring cutting-edge research into the classroom. Their expertise spans the full of the medieval past including deep expertise in early medieval history, including the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings, and the Wars of the Roses and Tudors – taught in a medieval city where these events actually happened. You could study topics like the Vikings Ages, the Middle Ages in computer games, early medieval women’s writing, and the Wars of the Roses – bringing the past to life in innovative ways.
