Overview

Do you have an ambition to create the music for a future Hollywood blockbuster? Or to shape the sound worlds for the next genre-defining video game? If so, this new course offers unparalleled opportunities for music and sound students who want to apply their skills within the film, TV and gaming industries. If you want to work on exciting music and sound projects, we offer the chance to collaborate with other students on a wide range of media productions. You could compose the score for a short film, design sounds for a game, or create the music for a theatre production.

Entry requirements

We welcome applications from all different educational profiles and experiences as talented creatives can develop in many environments. AUB considers the whole of the application when making admissions decision. While we'll make an offer based on the qualifications declared on your application, we also factor in your personal statement, your reference and - where appropriate - your portfolio or audition. Therefore, applicants who may not achieve the academic results listed below are still encouraged to apply. UK Qualifications IB Qualifications American Qualifications Qualifications by Country UK Qualifications UK and British Qualifications This information is equally useful for students educated in the UK and those studying at British-patterned international schools abroad. Applicants should have Level 3 qualifications, which should normally include at least one creative subject. We're looking for between 104 and 120 UCAS Tariff points. You can use the UCAS Tariff Calculator to work out how many points you have. The standard offers for degree courses include: A Levels with a result of BBB (or equivalent results achieving 120 UCAS Tariff points) Recognised Foundation Diploma with a Pass BTEC Level 3 Diploma at Distinction* Distinction* T Level with a minimum grade of Merit BTEC/OCR Extended Diploma at Distinction, Merit, Merit RSL/UAL Diploma - must be combined with other Level 3 qualifications equivalent to achieve overall 112-120 UCAS Tariff points RSL/ UAL Extended Diploma at Merit A combination of BTEC Subsidiary Diploma and A Levels - equivalent to 120 UCAS Tariff points Three BTEC Subsidiary Diploma passes at grade Merit Scottish Highers - five passes at Grade C or above VTCT and City & Guilds qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis provided the subject matter is relevant to the degree applied for Other foundation qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
