Overview

This course equips you with game development skills, backed by industry standard practices. Work in our Game Development Lab, using game engines, console gamepads, flight/vehicle controls, and VR devices. Build a portfolio of games that demonstrate your expertise in gameplay programming and player experience design. Develop games for platforms such as PC, mobile, and VR while working with other students as part of a games studio environment. Become adept in games programming using industry relevant languages and mathematical concepts through popular game engines. This course has a strong emphasis on real-world learning to boost employability. You'll gain a high level of software-related transferable skills that will make you attractive to employers. In your final year, you'll undertake a major individual project with research-active staff. This adds to your hands-on experience and, in some cases, could lead to a job offer.
