Overview

The BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science and Out of Hospital Care course provides you with the knowledge and skills required to become a confident, registered paramedic, ready to meet the challenges of modern healthcare. You’ll learn to manage unpredictable emergency situations and deliver life-saving care on the scene. Key areas of study include anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, law, ethics, and leadership. You’ll also gain hands-on experience through a wide range of clinical placements – from ambulance services and A&E to care and residential homes – helping you understand the paramedic’s role within the wider healthcare team. You’ll benefit from training using our on-campus ambulance and cutting-edge simulation technology and facilities, in which you’ll replicate real-life scenarios as closely as possible. You’ll also receive regular input and feedback from real patients and carers through our Patient, Carer and Public Involvement (PCPI) participants.
