Overview
If you want to inspire young people to lead active, healthy lives through a career in PE teaching, the BSc (Hons) Physical Education with QTS is a fast-track, three-year degree that qualifies you to teach PE in secondary schools. If you’re passionate about sport and fitness and want to help young people build physical confidence and competence, this course is for you. You’ll combine hands-on school placements with academic study, spending at least 120 days in schools and colleges to gain real-world teaching experience. You’ll explore the science behind physical education, apply theory through practical activities, and develop your teaching skills with support from expert tutors and strong school partnerships. You’ll also have opportunities to enhance your CV through workshops, masterclasses, and optional qualifications from organisations like the Football Association and England Cricket Board (subject to availability).
