Overview
The BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Sciences course is our broadest sports degree, designed to prepare you for a career in the exciting world of sport and leisure. You’ll build practical skills in areas like psychology, physiology, anatomy and biomechanics, strength and conditioning, performance analysis, nutrition, and injury rehabilitation. You’ll learn how to combine these disciplines to improve performance in sport and exercise, supported every step of the way by our experienced teaching team. We have strong links with regional and national organisations including Sunderland Association Football Club, Durham County Cricket Club, DMP Sharks Women’s Rugby Club, local hospitals, and health and fitness centres – giving you valuable, real-world experience. In your final year, you’ll work directly with athletes and sports teams during an assessment placement to apply your knowledge in practice.
