Overview
This course enhances the competence of practitioners to care for diabetes patients by providing critical knowledge and understanding of diabetes practice.
Entry requirements
This course is suitable for registered nurses and allied health professionals who want to increase their knowledge of diabetes care, in both primary and secondary care. * Term 1 2026-2027 (Provisional dates)* Day 1 face to face 23rd Oct 2026 Study break 30th Oct 2026 Day 2 online 6th November Day 3 online 20th Nov 2026 Day 4 online 4th Dec 2026 Day 5 face to face 11th Dec 2026 * Term 3 2026-2027 (Provisional dates)* Day 1 face to face 7th May 2027 Day 1 online 14th May 2027 Day 3 online 28th May 2027 Study break 4th June 2027 Day 4 online 11th June 2026 Day 5 face to face 18th June 2026 This course is worth 15 credits at L7. This course can be taken as an optional part of a Masters or PG Diploma Programme. To do you would need to discuss this with your Programme Director. If you would like to complete this course as a CPPD student but would like to complete a Master's degree at a later date, please note that you will only be able to transfer a maximum of 30- 45 credits which have been awarded within 5 years prior to the start date of the programme, dependent on programme specification.
