Overview

This module is designed for health professionals who interpret information from diagnostic tests as part of their current role, particularly those working in or towards advanced clinical practitioner status. The module allows you to develop and apply knowledge and skills to recognise normal and abnormal appearances in diagnostic imaging and interpret laboratory investigations. By the end of the module, you will be able to synthesise clinical information commonly seen in health care settings, describing radiographic appearances in a structured format, to enable you to make sound clinical judgements and decisions. Students must have completed Ionising radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (IR(ME)R) training before starting the module. Students must be registered with either the NMC or HCPC and currently working in a health care setting. This module advances your professional development by drawing on the four pillars of advanced practice: management and leadership, education, research and advanced clinical practice. It reinforces the core principle that advanced practice is a level of practice rather than a particular role. To join the module students will need to demonstrate the ability to study at level 7. This could be demonstrated through previous study at Level 7 and/or achievement of above 55% on a level 6 module and/or achievement of a 2:2 at level 6 BSc 27/04/26, 11/05/26, 25/05/26, 08/06/26, 22/06/26, 06/07/26
