Overview

Transform your passion for early years education into a career This course will enable you to become an Early Years teacher in one year. Every teacher shapes young lives and minds. Early Years Teachers in particular can play a pivotal role in the development of their students, aged from birth to 5 years old. The Early Years Teacher PGCE at Kingston University will explore the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, studying how young children learn and develop, using teaching methods based on the latest research. Topics include safeguarding, early literacy and maths, professionalism, supporting emotional development and special educational needs and disability (SEND). Personalised support will help you with your study. There are two pathways: Graduate Employment-based route: Part time route for people already employed within the early years sector. Graduate Entry Route: Full time with placement experience for graduates not currently working in the sector. The lecturers are fully aware of the content of the course and have always been able to explain it to students thoroughly. They are very approachable and are always available to meet with students on a one-to-one. Samina
