As part of our recent re-validation, our Economics courses have been redesigned to reflect the growing importance of digital technologies, data-driven decision making, and Artificial intelligence (AI) in modern professional economics. Our curriculum has been comprehensively updated to incorporate emerging trends, industry-standard software and analytical tools, and the latest developments in economics, ensuring you have the skills sought by employers in a rapidly evolving marketplace. The policy and business-savvy economist must navigate complex macroeconomic ideas and data and understand the microeconomics of corporate decision making. You will graduate from our economics degree able to impress employers with your skill set. Where theory meets real-world decision making Not everyone takes the same route into university, and that’s ok. If you’re passionate about Economics but don’t quite meet the entry requirements for one of our Economics degrees, this course is for you. The Foundation Year is your opportunity to step into Higher Education, giving you a broad-based view of the business world. You will develop knowledge and skills across key business disciplines, focusing on the study of organisations, management and the changing environment in which they operate. The Foundation Year will give you a well-rounded start, with exciting topics in problem-solving, data-handling for business, marketing and communication, and culture - all building the strong foundations you’ll need to thrive as a professional Economist. You’ll also have the opportunity to undertake a work placement within an established workplace or with an enterprise start-up.
