Overview
French at Queen’s reflects the dynamism and cultural diversity of the French-speaking world, focusing on the language, culture and society of metropolitan France, and opening up perspectives on a range of global cultures. All students spend a period of residence in a Francophone country. Students can begin their studies in French as a beginner. The undergraduate History programme offers students a wide choice, including ancient, medieval, early modern and modern history; students can explore aspects of gender, social and cultural history, colonial history, politics, religious and economic change.
