Overview
You may have heard that legal education is changing. The University of Northampton’s LLB Law Honours course has been redesigned to meet those changes and will provide you with an excellent grounding as you take your first steps towards a legal career. This Law degree covers the seven foundations of legal knowledge required to meet the core academic requirements required by the Bar Standard Board for entry onto the Bar Training Course. For students who aspire to become solicitors, this LLB has been designed with an awareness of the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) in mind. Alongside the core foundations of legal knowledge, students may choose optional academic modules which cover some of the subject areas tested in the SQE, such as Civil Litigation, Criminal Litigation, and Business Law. Throughout the LLB Honours degree you’ll gain diverse skills that are highly valuable in your professional career – whether you enter the legal profession or not.
