Overview
Undertake research that offers the opportunity to make significant impact in the field of pancreatic disease with our Pancreatology research degree. You’ll explore the application of molecular and/or computational approaches to the study of disease mechanisms and treatment strategies that impact upon medicine and ultimately patient outcomes. TheInstitute of Systems, Molecular and Integrative Biology (ISMIB)was established to integrate cutting-edge basicresearchwith clinical research from across theFaculty of Health and Life Sciences. Programmes of work across ISMIB are varied and are led by world experts in their field. Pancreatology is one of Liverpool’s recognised strengths with scientific expertise in Pancreatic cancer and pancreatitis and strong clinical and science leadership. Our Department ofMolecular and Clinical Cancer Medicineis the centre for large European pancreas studies aimed at examining the benefits of chemotherapy and chemoradiotherapy in the treatment of patients with pancreatic cancer. We also lead programmes of research aimed at identifying people who are at high risk of developing or being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Entry requirements
IELTS: 6.5 overall, with no component below 5.5 TOEFL iBT: If you took a TOEFL test on or before 20 January 2026, you’ll need 88 overall, with minimum scores of listening 17, writing 17, reading 17 and speaking 19.
