Overview
Our PGCE English with SEND (special educational needs and disabilities) pathway is an exciting opportunity to gain a SEND specialisation to your PGCE English qualification. This course is for PGCE English trainees with a passion for special needs teaching. Alongside the core PGCE English content, our SEND training course will help you learn how to craft engaging session for children with SENDs. You'll dive into practical, hands-on SEND sessions and learn how to work with, support, and teach a variety of pupils with a myriad of additional special needs. You'll also gain an insight into how to adapt your teaching when the traditional English national curriculum is not appropriate for their needs. We'll equip you with the skills and knowledge to guide students individually, assessing their needs and their abilities accordingly.
