Overview
Infection prevention and control (IPC) is fundamental to modern healthcare, and following events like the Covid-19 pandemic have become even more critical. The National Infection Prevention and Control Manual (NIPCM)(opens in new tab) outlines standards required to manage and reduce the risk of current and future events. This short course, developed and aligned to the NIPCM, will support you in gaining knowledge and understanding of core IPC areas. You'll study two modules – Foundations of Infection Prevention and Control and Contemporary Issues in Infection Prevention and Control – focusing on a range of different topics and creating assessments reflective of IPC practice.
