Entry requirements
To apply for the PGCE Primary SEND (QTS), you must hold a degree from a UK Higher Education Institution, normally at 2:2 or above. If your degree has not yet been awarded, this will form a condition of any offer. You must also have GCSEs in Mathematics (Grade 4/C or above), English, and Science (Grade 4/C or above), or equivalent qualifications. If you have not yet achieved these, they will be a condition of any offer, and equivalency tests will be accepted but only from approved equivalency testing providers. In addition, you will need to complete an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check before taking up a place, undergo relevant checks to confirm your health and physical capacity to teach, and agree to abide by the University of Birmingham Code of Professional Conduct and Fitness to Practise.
