Entry requirements
You must demonstrate a strong academic record at A‑level (normally two science A‑levels) or equivalent in relevant subjects, along with a solid degree (usually at least a 2:2). The relevance of your degree, qualifications, and experience to the subject you intend to teach will be carefully assessed to determine your suitability. You also need GCSEs (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English at Grade 4/C or above, which, if not already obtained, will be a condition of your offer (equivalency tests are only accepted from approved providers). Additionally, you will need to complete an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, undergo necessary health and physical capacity checks to ensure youre fit to teach, and agree to abide by the University of Birminghams Code of Professional Conduct and Fitness to Practise.
