Entry requirements
You must have a strong academic record at A‑level (normally two science A‑levels) or equivalent in relevant subjects, along with a strong degree (usually a minimum of 2:2) in a related field; in all cases, the relevance of your degree, additional qualifications, and relevant experiences will be assessed to determine your academic suitability. You must also have GCSE Mathematics and English (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent qualifications—if you have not already achieved these, meeting this requirement (typically through approved equivalency testing) will be a condition of your offer. Additionally, you will need to complete an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check before beginning the course, undergo health and physical capacity checks to ensure you are fit to teach, and agree to abide by the University of Birminghams Code of Professional Conduct and Fitness to Practise.
