Overview
This module aims to equip those whose work involves managing patients who may present with conditions involving the ear to develop their knowledge and skills in this area. The module will cover anatomy and physiology of the ear and the pathophysiology of common problems affecting the ear. This module will also cover focused consultation skills, the fundamentals involved in managing patients with conditions affecting the ear, including management of obstruction with earwax (cerumen) or foreign bodies, otitis externa and otitis media and principles involved in ear irrigation.
Entry requirements
We usually require applicants to be health care professionals. You should be working in a clinical setting where your work involves delivering ear conditions services.
