The discount is awarded by the invoicing team and is usually an automatic process. However, there may be some cases where you may need to provide evidence of your previous award, if you do not receive the discount. When completing your application to study, you will be asked to state your previous course at Kingston University and to supply your Kingston University ID number, if applicable. If you are eligible, the discount will be applied to your course fees invoice. If you’re paying via instalments, the discount will be apportioned evenly across all of your instalments. Please note: you will receive an invoice for the full course fee. The discount is applied as a credit to this invoice shortly afterwards. You will receive a separate credit note via email.

Other eligibility requirements Eligibility: International students with an offer to study for a one-year masters degree, who have been identified as potential future leaders. To be eligible for a Chevening Scholarship you must: Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory. Commit to returning to your home country for at least two years after your scholarship ends. Have at least 2,800 hours of work experience after graduating from your undergraduate degree. This is roughly equivalent to two years of full-time work, though it may have been completed over a different time period. Hold an undergraduate degree that qualifies you for a UK master’s programme. You must have finished your undergraduate studies at least two years before our application deadline, even if you have not yet received your certificate. However, you will need to have your certificate by the time of your interview. Apply to three different and eligible UK university courses. You must have received an unconditional offer from at least one of these course choices by 17:00 BST (UK time) 9 July 2026.

If you are eligible for the Family Bursary, you can only apply after you have fully completed enrolment. To apply, go to My Kingston > International students > International loyalty bursaries. You will need to submit the application form with evidence of your family connection. For example, a marriage certificate (for spouse) or birth certificate (for parent, sibling or child). You will also need to provide evidence your relative studied at Kingston University. For this, you will need to provide their graduation certificate or Kingston ID number. If approved, the discount will be apportioned evenly across all of your instalments (or refunded in the case of a full tuition fee payment).
