Swansea University is an esteemed research-led university in Swansea, Wales, UK. The institute has three faculties surrounding its two campuses, located on the beautiful coastline of Swansea Bay. The Singleton Park Campus lies in Singleton Park, overlooking Swansea Bay Beach, and the Bay Campus is situated next to Jersey Marine Beach.

The university offers more than 450 undergraduate programmes, 350 postgraduate programmes, 150 postgraduate research programmes, and a wide range of generous scholarships for international students. The university has an amazing postgraduate study experience with a community of more than 4000 students hailing from 130 counties.

This institute has more than 20,500 students who hail from 130 countries and more than 5000 international students. The beautiful waterfront campuses and the friendly Welsh community make it a perfect university for international students, and the university’s sports village is just five minutes away from the Singleton Park Campus.

History

The history dates back to 1920, when the University College, Swansea, was established. It was the youngest and fourth college of the University of Wales. It was granted a coat of arms by the College of Heralds in 1921 with its existing motto. In 1996, it changed its name to the University of Wales Swansea. In 2007, it was finally named Swansea University when the University of Wales became a non-membership confederal institution.
