This support includes a bursary of £500 for those students who meet criteria.
Other eligibility requirements The Bishop Burton Bursary Programme (BBBP) will offer financial support a number of students from households with an income of less than £25,000 in year one of study. Additional widening participation criteria will be used to prioritise awards which will include consideration of internal progression, postcode deprivation areas and disability. These awards are of £500 per full-time equivalent (FTE) and will be given in the form of three equal payments across the year, subject to achievement of attendance targets and submission of work. An additional number of bursaries of £500 will be offered to students from under-represented groups who need financial support or those who have a household income between £25,001 and £45,875.

It covers the 15% of the childcare costs that the student’s Student Finance England (SFE) Childcare Grant does not, and is paid directly to the childcare provider.
Childcare Bursary may be available through Student Finance England for Higher Education students with dependant children in registered or accredited childcare. It cannot be claimed for if a student is already claiming the childcare element of the Working Tax Credit from the HMRC. This is an award for students with children under the age of five. It covers the 15% of the childcare costs that the student’s Student Finance England (SFE) Childcare Grant does not, and is paid directly to the childcare provider. This support is to cover the student’s days of timetabled attendance only, and is subject to available funds.

Students who meet the criteria may be considered for a £1000 fee reduction for their chosen programme of study.
University Centre have an Institute of Technology bursary scheme available to those students who meet eligibility criteria. Students who meet the criteria may be considered for a £1000 fee reduction for their chosen programme of study. There is also a hardship fund available to qualifying students who may need support with some course related costs, such as travel, PPE, work placements, specialist books and equipment. Eligibility criteria is as follows; Student with children, especially single parents Mature students with existing financial commitments Student from a low-income family Students with disability/learning difficulties Students that are care-experienced Students who are BAME in chosen curriculum area. The student must also reside in an eligible postcode.

All applications must be submitted with supporting documents, such as Student Finance award notice, bank statements and other evidence were applicable. Guidance will be given as required. The successful assessment of an application, will be followed by a Request Form to ascertain your support requirements. This will then be reviewed and confirmation of the decision outcome will be made via email. Please note that bursary funds are limited and funding may be closed before the end of the academic year once the allocations have been made.
