About your course The course offers flexible learning, designed for working professionals. Delivered part-time through LJMU’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) Canvas, it’s the ideal way to gain a Level 6 bachelor’s degree, while balancing professional commitments and family life. BSc (Hons) Health Studies is an 18-month part-time course delivered through distance learning. Health Studies is a dynamic and multidisciplinary subject that explores the health and well-being of individuals and communities across the entire lifespan. Throughout the course, you will examine health in its broadest sense, including: physical and mental health illness and disease social, cultural, and environmental factors that influence well-being. Health Studies is rooted in a range of academic disciplines, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of health at local, national, and global levels. You will engage with evidence-based research and innovative concepts to explore real-world health challenges and solutions. How to apply Securing your place at LJMU To apply for this programme, you are required to complete an LJMU online application. You will need to provide details of previous qualifications and a personal statement outlining why you wish to study this programme. Students will need to: be a registrant on the NMC or HCPC register have completed a relevant healthcare diploma and be credited with 120 credits at level 4 and 120 credits at level 5, or have the international equivalent Additionally, you must have access to a computer with the following technical requirements to be able to complete the course: Webcam, microphone and speakers Windows 10 or a Mac OS X 10/9 or later Intel Core i5 Processor (or better) (Intel M Processors are not recommended) 4GB RAM 20 GB available hard drive space
