Overview
Ready to turn compassion into a career that changes lives? On this accelerated two-year degree, you'll explore how occupational therapists support people of all ages across health, social care and community settings. Through a mix of lectures, workshops, simulation and placements, you'll study areas including mental health, paediatrics, long-term conditions, older adult care and occupational justice. As the course develops, you'll apply your learning to increasingly complex practice scenarios, working with different client groups and settings while exploring assessment, intervention and collaborative approaches to care. Guided by experienced practitioners and informed by the latest research, you'll graduate ready to begin your career as a registered occupational therapist. More than care, it's community
Entry requirements
How to apply for this course Most importantly, you need ambition. Together with our support and opportunities, you can go further than you ever thought possible. Our typical offer for this course is 120 UCAS points. But there’s no ceiling on ambition. 40 points must come from either a science subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Physical Education), or a social science subject (Psychology or Sociology). Remember, we look at your whole application – not just grades. Achievements, work experience, extracurricular activities: they all count here. We also consider qualifications and experience from the UK and worldwide that may not exactly match those listed. Not sure if you’ll meet the entry requirements? Talk to our Admissions team today. We’ll look at your circumstances, give you personalised guidance and help you understand your options, one of which could be a Foundation Year. Additional entry requirements for this course
