Overview

The LLB Business Law degree at Swansea University i s a specialised programme that prepares you for careers at the intersection of law and business. Grounded in a commitment to academic excellence, and informed by research, the programme combines both theory and practice, enabling you to gain a detailed understanding of how legal frameworks operate within broader business, economic and global contexts. You will gain a comprehensive understanding of the foundations of legal knowledge, including Contract, Tort, Criminal Law, Public Law, Land Law, Equity and Trusts and EU Law. These core subjects satisfy the academic stage of training required by the Bar Standards Board, and provide a strong basis for those wishing to take the Solicitors Qualifying Examination. As your studies progress, you can develop specialist expertise through compulsory business-focused modules such as Company Law, World Trade Law, and Commercial Sales, alongside a wide range of optional modules. This flexibility allows you to pursue your interests while building a strong business law profile.
