Overview
Make Huddersfield your choice for completing your Chemistry BSc(Hons) and you’ll be joining a department with a long and illustrious history. Our teaching and research in Chemistry dates back to the 1840s, when we were a centre for colour chemistry, supporting the textile and dyeing industries in the area. In Chemistry, we ranked fifth in the country for academic support as well as being top 10 for assessment and feedback and teaching on my course in the 2025 National Student Survey. The top five job titles advertised in the UK for graduate roles associated with courses in this subject area are Data Analysts, Graduate Managers, Health and Safety Officers, Environmental Consultants and Operations Coordinators.* *Lightcast data extracted from Graduate Career Explorer – job postings from Dec 2023 to Nov 2024 showing jobs advertised associated with a selection of relevant graduates.
