Overview
Child nursing involves assessing children, young people, and their families. You will learn how to do this across a range of ages and settings Registered Nurses are skilled healthcare professionals. They work in a wide range of healthcare settings. As a registered child nurse, you will work with other members of the multi/interprofessional team to help and support patients and carers. Often, this can be through challenging situations. Our BSc (Hons) Child Nursing course will prepare you to work in partnership with patients and carers. You will learn to communicate effectively with children and young people, many of whom will have varied and complex communication and care needs. Throughout the course, you will be supported by the clinical and academic team to develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care. You will be given the opportunity to work cross different health care settings and health board. You will work with children and young people experiencing a wide range of conditions affecting physical and mental wellbeing.
