Overview
Our degree in Creative Computing explores the exciting intersection of creativity and technology. Whether you're drawn to generative AI, extended reality, game development or creative experience design, you'll gain foundational skills that are needed to understand the cutting-edge technologies that are transforming the digital landscape. By developing both technical expertise and creative thinking skills, you’ll have the ability to design interactive applications, immersive experiences, and innovative design projects. Our focus is on coursework and projects, allowing you to demonstrate your creativity and technical skills through practical applications. You’ll engage in real-world projects through collaborations with external partners such as the National Space Centre and Culture Leicestershire, gaining sought-after experience working on innovative and industry-relevant challenges. Our degree encourages entrepreneurial thinking with a year-long entrepreneurial project in your final year, where you’ll apply your learning to develop and refine a product or service, from concept through to prototype. The field of creative computing is ever-changing, and we’re committed to keeping our curriculum up-to-date to reflect this. Recently, we’ve integrated Generative AI techniques across the majority of our modules, ensuring you're equipped with the skills needed for the future of creative technologies. After the second year, you can decide to pursue a Year in Industry or Study Abroad, gaining experience that will set you aside in the job market. Our industry connections provide you with the chance to collaborate on projects with major organisations and gain insights into the latest industry trends.
