Overview
Our Criminology and Law degree brings together two powerful disciplines – the study of crime and justice and the frameworks of law that govern them. You’ll be taught by experienced criminologists and legal scholars who combine real-world expertise with cutting-edge research. On this course you'll: Explore how legal systems respond to crime, social harm and inequality Engage with current debates in human rights, justice reform and policing Learn from academics with practitioner backgrounds in law, criminology and social justice Build confidence through applied, case-based learning and scenario-led teaching Learning takes place through a mix of lectures, seminars, workshops and case-based learning, all designed to build your understanding of how law and criminology intersect in addressing social harm, human rights and justice reform. You’ll also develop essential research, analysis and advocacy skills through collaborative projects, professional workshops, and guest sessions with practitioners working across government, NGOs and the voluntary sector.
