The Doctor of Professional Practice in Health (DPPH) will enhance your understanding of health within a broader context, enabling you to directly relate your learning to current healthcare practice. The DPPH programme has been designed to support experienced health professionals from a wide variety of health settings to engage in research that makes an original contribution to knowledge to a relevant area of their practice whilst gaining a recognised academic award. This programme combines applied research with real-world professional practice and offers students a flexible learning experience. The DPPH is suitable for: Experienced health professionals seeking to expand their impact through research Health professionals wishing to drive evidence-based improvements within their organisations Graduates willing to develop their research capabilities, reflective practice and apply their research to real-world change This course is delivered by the School of Nursing, Public and Allied Health at LJMU, which has a dynamic and engaged research community. The School integrates research and teaching across diverse areas of professional practice, including Nursing, Midwifery, Paramedicine, Social Work, and Public Health.
Entry requirements
You will need: Home Qualification requirements Postgraduate degree (required for research programmes) 180 credits at FHEQ level 7. M-Level programme of study. The FHEQ 7 qualification must have a significant research element. Further information Extra Requirements All short-listed candidates must be interviewed. RPL The following criteria are essential: M-Level programme study. Applicants will be required to make a claim for accreditation of prior learning; consideration of any such claim will be undertaken by the University Recognition Group in line with the requirements of the University's Academic Framework.
