Our staff are actively helping to reduce development times, improve performance and deliver better products within a variety of advanced and high-value manufacturing industries. We offer four undergraduate degree courses in Electronic Engineering, leading to a BSc (Bachelor of Science), a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) or Master of Engineering (MEng). This four-year integratged MEng Electronic Engineering, a three-year BSc (Hons) Electronic Engineering, three-year BEng (Hons) Electronic Engineering, and four-year BEng (Hons) Electronic Engineering (with Foundation Year). This MEng Electronic Engineering is fully accredited by the IET as meeting the Engineering Council’s UK Standard for Professional Engineering Competence (UK-SPEC). The additional year of focused postgraduate study fulfils the academic requirements for Chartered Engineer (CEng) status, whereas the BEng leads to Incorporated Engineer status. On the BEng, you can still go on to achieve Chartered status with further experience and/or training. The MEng, however, allows you to study to master’s level without having to go through a separate master’s application process and with undergraduate fees and financial support set up from the outset.
