Designed for those with a non-traditional mechanical engineering background, to close the gap between practical experience and advanced theory. You build a strong understanding of core mechanical engineering principles and develop the analytical, mathematical and problem-solving skills needed for professional practice.

2027-28 entry requirements For Clearing 2026 entry requirements, please refer to the information in the box above. This top-up degree is ideal for those progressing from an Edexcel/BTEC Higher National Diplomas (HND) or equivalent in an engineering or technology discipline with limited mathematical content and wish to enhance their knowledge and skills in mechanical engineering technology. International students must also provide evidence of English language skills equivalent to IELTS 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in each component.
