Course Overview: Explore 1,000 years of literary history and embrace your love of reading and writing on this English Literature degree at Bangor University. As one of the oldest English Literature departments in the UK, Bangor has a strong history of world-class research and teaching. Our specialisms range from the literatures of the Middle Ages and Renaissance period, through to Victorian and Modernist forms. Our English Literature degree explores a multitude of genres, such as Comedy, Gothic and Children’s fiction. You’ll be encouraged to think and write critically and creatively, developing valuable communication and social skills that will be highly attractive to future employers.
