A basic goal of the course is to demonstrate the use of ideas and tools in contexts of financial economics where they are indispensable and widely exploited. You explore the global role of financial systems in modern economics and learn to analyse the impact of economic events on financial markets while fostering the ability to develop and evaluate strategic decisions for businesses, with a focus on financial risk and return.The course also supports you to stay updated with the latest developments in financial economics, as the field is dynamic and constantly evolving. You learn to apply financial analysis techniques in real-world business scenarios, leading to more effective financial management which will enable you to better understand the impact and reach of economic and financial decisions.
