Overview
Turn your passion for football into a career with our specialist BA (Hons) Football Coaching, focused on developing you as a knowledgeable, reflective and employable football coach. Combining academic study with extensive practical experience, the course develops the knowledge and skills needed to plan, deliver and evaluate coaching; develop players; analyse performance; and create positive football environments. You explore contemporary areas of the game including women’s and girls’ football, player welfare, sport psychology, performance analysis and coach development. Practical coaching, live projects, placements and industry experiences are central to the degree, including opportunities arising from our official partnership with Luton Town FC. We enhance the employability of our graduates through our Higher Education Partnership with the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA). You can also gain a free CIMSPA qualification in Gym Instruction, adding an additional professional qualification to your CV.
