Entry requirements
To be accepted on to a degree apprenticeship course you must have support from your employer and meet the course entry requirements. Before starting their Teesside University apprenticeship, learners must hold Level 2 qualifications in English and maths. Find out more. Applicants must • be employed for at least 30 hours a week in the health and social care sector • have support of their employer/workplace and a practice assessor identified who is an appropriate registered professional • have the Care Certificate and a Skills Scan. Entry qualifications Given the nature of the course it is expected that the majority of applicants will access the course with vocational qualifications or equivalent experience. This could include Level 3 qualifications – NVQ 3, BTEC Award, A-Levels, Access course. Any applicant who can demonstrate academic achievement at an equitable level through another qualification route is given due consideration to use the RPEL process.
